HAIOF Assessment Logic v0.1

Find where action creates the most value.

The HAIOF Assessment identifies where an organisation should act first to improve Human-AI operations. It is not designed to produce a vanity AI maturity score.

0–5 maturity scale

0 — Not Established The capability is absent or unmanaged.1 — Ad Hoc Some activity exists but depends heavily on individuals.2 — Emerging Basic practices exist but are inconsistent.3 — Defined The operating model is documented and generally followed.4 — Managed The capability is measured, monitored and improved.5 — Adaptive The capability is evidence-driven and adjusts effectively as conditions change.

Domain profile before averages

Each domain receives its own score. The domain profile should remain prominent so uneven capability is immediately visible.

The overall score must never hide a serious weakness. If a critical domain scores 0 or 1, highlight it separately even if the overall average is high.

What an assessment should show

Current State

How the organisation currently operates.

Domain Profile

Scores across the assessed domains.

Strengths

Practices worth preserving.

Material Risks

What may require immediate attention.

Friction

Where unnecessary work or control exists.

Knowledge Debt

Where information or documentation is weak.

Governance Debt

Where authority or controls are unclear.

Opportunities

Where redesign may create value.

Human Independence

Whether critical AI-enabled work remains operable by humans.

Recommended First Workflow

The best candidate for deeper HAIOF analysis.

Immediate Next Actions

A small number of prioritised actions.

Public assessment boundary

The free self-assessment is a diagnostic starting point. It is not certification, a formal audit, legal advice, security assurance or a regulatory compliance assessment. No automated scoring engine is used in this release.
